Description
The XCR UCI was designed to meet UCI standards and therefore restricts position adjustments at the cockpit (reach and width). The XCR Tri features a cockpit tailored to triathletes' positioning needs, allowing for maximum reach and width adjustments thanks to a mounting plate as well as triathlon-specific extensions and armrests. The Tri frame also includes an integrated toolbox and bento box.
The XCR frame is a high-modulus carbon frame that meets the demands of top-level cycling. It was designed in collaboration with Swiss Side, leveraging their aerodynamics expertise to optimize every single detail without compromise. It complies with UCI regulations and is approved for road time trial races. The Decathlon AG2R Team and Van Rysel Roubaix cycling teams use the XCR in the world's biggest races, including the Tour de France.
The right position is a fundamental performance factor, especially when it comes to time trials. We designed a cockpit that allows a wide range of adjustments—height, width, reach, and angle—thanks to components like the extension support platform and various adjustment spacers. As for the extensions, we chose Deda's Jet One carbon monocoque model to deliver perfect ergonomics.
We chose the Shimano Ultegra Di2 8170 TT/Triathlon groupset for its efficiency and reliability: Left lever: Shimano Dura-Ace ST-R9180 Right lever: Shimano Dura-Ace ST-R9180 Shift buttons: SW-R9160 (pair) Brake calipers: Ultegra R8170 Hydraulic Front derailleur: Ultegra FD-R8150 Rear derailleur: Ultegra RD-R8150 12-speed Cassette: 12-speed R8170 (11-30) Crankset: R8170 52x36 with Inpeak Powercrank-E single-sided power meter Crank length: XS/S: 170 mm M/L: 172.5 mm XL: 175 mm
Swiss Side wheels are among the fastest on the market, so it was a natural choice for us to select the Hadron² Classic models, which set the benchmark for aerodynamics. Front wheel: HADRON² Ultimate 625 Rear wheel: HADRON² Ultimate 800 Featuring more cost-effective DT Swiss hubs and spokes, the HADRON² Classic delivers maximum aero wheel performance. Tires: Michelin Power Cup Tubeless Ready 700x25 Recommended pressure: 5 - 8 bar Maximum tire width: 30 mm

WARNING: Never pull the brake levers without a wheel installed, as you risk sticking the brake pads together. If your disc rotor rubs, follow these steps to realign the wheel and caliper: Loosen the thru-axle Squeeze the brake lever firmly while retightening the axle at the same time If the rotor still rubs, repeat the same process by loosening the caliper If the issue persists, visit your local store
Ride on a flat, dry road free of obstacles. It is important to alternate between the front and rear brakes and follow these steps: Step 1: Ride at 15 km/h and brake progressively down to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Step 2: Ride at 20 km/h and brake progressively down to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Step 3: Ride at 25 km/h and brake progressively down to 5 km/h, 10 times in a row. Between each step, release the brakes and ride for a few dozen meters.
We would like to emphasize the importance of regular drivetrain maintenance, particularly if you ride in challenging conditions (wet and/or dirty roads). Regular maintenance will significantly extend the lifespan of your drivetrain
Please refer to the bike's geometry chart. Ideally, we recommend getting a bike fit to fully benefit from your bike's performance. If you are between sizes, a smaller frame will suit riders looking for a more responsive, agile feel. Conversely, if you prefer a more settled position for long distances, the larger size may prove to be the better choice.
